H.J. Legan is a Pacific Grove artist who specializes in pen & ink and watercolor.
Her love for the Monterey Peninsula shines in her work. Each card is lovingly colored by hand with watercolor, so no two cards are exactly alike!

Used for whaling, abalone harvesting, coal mining, granite quarry, then divided into 1,000 residential lots, in the 1890s Alexander M. Allan re-purchased the land, put up a tollgate and prohibited camping to preserve the rare cypress trees and scenic coastline. In 1992 it became part of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, making it our nation's largest marine sanctuary.
