invitation wording
. . .
Wedding Invitation wording is based on who is hosting (or paying for) the event. On traditional Wedding Invitations, everything is spelled out and no abbreviations are used. Request the pleasure of your company is used when the ceremony is not at a Church or place of worship. Request the honour of your presence is used when the ceremony is at a Church or place of worship. Notice that honour is spelled with a "u". Middle names are included for the couple on traditional invitations. The Bride's first and middle name (no last name) appear when her parent's names are listed above. A Groom's last name is always included regardless of who is hosting the wedding. The rule of thumb is that a man's first and last name should never be separated.
